It is helpful to see the winning entry for something meaty like WAYB’s short story competition, but this is more in the nature of an offer for the conference.

Anyway, I’d love to see other entries please – so do post what you submitted here!

Congratulations to the winner. I also entered the competition and agree with John that it would be really helpful to view the winning pitch. I am not sure that allowing this would encourage the questioning of the judges decision. I also think that there is not really anything wrong with questioning?

Hi John, Thank you for commenting and for your interest in the recent competition. We do not print winning entries to our smaller competitions/offers as unfortunately it can encourage some users to question the judges’ decision, which in common with all competitions of this kind, is final.
We do always like to encourage a sharing of supportive views, though, and if you’d like to add your own 20-word pitch to this thread, please go ahead.

it would be nice to read winning enteries to your competitions. i entered the 20 word conference compo and would find it useful to compare my own entry with the winning pitch…
