Services: Mid-way Manuscript Review
A hands-on structural edit, the Midway Review will help provide you with the tools to ensure that all elements of your story and narrative are working well in concert together.
Overview
You have made real progress with your manuscript and are seeking a more hands-on structural edit and advice. After a thorough reading, a Mid-way Review Editor advises on what is supporting your book's core purpose and what isn’t. They can recommend ways of streamlining the text and will offer a ‘big picture’ perspective. Of all the services open to writers, this one could prove the most invaluable because it can illuminate and enhance your work before it becomes too polished.
The other part of the service centers on aspects of craft, highlighting what is and isn’t supporting the book's main purpose and identifying what needs to go and what requires expansion. The goal of the Editor is to support the writer in ensuring that the work is coming together as a unified piece of writing and that its various elements are working in concert, this could cover character motivations and intentions – the inner journeys of the characters and whether they ring true.
