Hello! I'm not sure where the right place is to ask this - I hope it's here!
I'm looking for a couple of beta readers in the medical industry for my completed YA contemporary novel.
The novel's main theme is mental health, specifically eating disorders, depression, and self-harm, and I would really love to find a beta reader in the medical industry who can pinpoint anything that they think might be too triggering for young readers before I start working with an editor.
These days couples are often couples but they are chatting for a single purpose so they are also involved in this idea. In fact, on Valentine's Day, many partners ask the question, what should we talk about. So I can Idea the best for all of them. unique valentines day gifts In fact, everyone celebrates this day, which is why you can easily shop from here for your partner. And these are the things that everyone likes and I think you will like them too.

Long story short - In Spring 2017 my 2yr old daughter gets cancer. My partner and I enrich her imagination throughout treatment to keep her spirits up.
Much of the silliness we concocted forms the basis for a picture book that I set to work on and, after 3 years, have now completed.
The book is designed to appeal to all kids, but to have extra meaning to kids in hospital (and their parents) giving them a little bit extra courage and hope.
If I have to self publish, I will. But I first want to try and get an agent, publisher, yadda, yadda.
I am currently writing my first non-fiction book and have recently acquired a non-fiction writing qualification for the Manchester Writer's Bureau.
I am working from 30 years of journals and knowledge gained over 30 years of interest in Israel and Palestine. My book covers the period from British Mandatory rule to today.Â
Hiya all. Does anyone know if Puppy Dogs and Ice Cream publishers for children's books is a self publishing house or mainstream. Tried to go into it but can't find out. Thanks
I run a small walking tour company and I have an idea for a non-fiction book about the city I operate the tours in. I have it roughly planned- the themes for each chapter etc. Before I start writing, I wanted to contact agents or publishers about the idea first to ask if they are interested before I started writing. Is it acceptable to do this or would they require the completed book before considering it? Many thanks.

I hope that the new W&A website encourages more activity from members. Looking back through discussion threads, I see that the most popular posts are more than a few years old. The more that members contribute will encourage others to actively participate.
My first book was published in 2018. However, the publishers (name withheld) have since disappeared. There website is gone, there have been no recent posts on the usual social media suspects, etc. My book is still being sold under their name on Amazon, however I would like to re-publish with someone else if possible. I've read my contract and as far as I can tell the term of the contract was for two years (renewable by mutual agreement). I was hoping for some advice as to where I stand with approaching agents, etc. Also, how do I get it removed from Amazon.
I am currently writing a book about my favorite artists and bands. I will be mentioning many song titles and band names. I will not be quoting any song titles and there will be nothing negative about any of the songs or artists.
Where do I stand from a legal/copyright point of view in the UK?
