Finding a children's book literary agent.

Im new to this. So can anyone recommend a good children's picture book literary agent, or a publishing house for the above. UK based preferably.

Strange Beings Seek Writer

I am a self-confessed techno-phobe and luddite seeking a writer to give life to my creations "The Spacekins."

The characters are tiny astronauts who live in the Asteroid Belt, they and their environs are made almost entirely from found, salvaged and recycled materials.

I have had interest from several hybrid and self-publishers, but I am not a writer - and I'm afraid my attempts at story telling don't do the artwork justice.

I am keen to inspire a writer of similar humour and imagination to help give these little beings a place in the universe.

Just simply that, what came first for you. Your book or your book title?

My book came first (not finished) and have now decided on a title halfway through it. Will it remain that title, I'm not sure yet.

Pen & paper or laptop?

Do you still use pen and paper to write or do you go straight to the laptop to write your works?

Personally, I still use pen and paper and then transfer to my laptop and edit while typing it up.

Where do you like to write? Do you take yourself off to the library, where you know you won't be disturbed? Or do you like the hustle and bustle of a busy cafe?Or do you stay at home in the peace and quiet when everyone else is away out?

Facebook sites.

Hiya all. Does anyone know anything about the posts on facebook from publishing houses for new writers to do an assessment or fill in a questionaire? Out of curiosity I almost filled one in but then decided I didn't want anchoring into some dodgy deal with anybody so I didn't bother. Apparently they assess your writing skill to see what help you need to get your writing published.

No simultaneous submissions

This rule "No simultaneous submissions" bothers me a lot. It's present in most, if not all submission guidelines. I understand that publisher doesn't want other publishers to have the exact same novel, that is perfectly understanding and valid point. Problem is, at least in my experience, most publishers will not answer to your submission, ever. Not even a short formal letter of rejection which I would really appreciate.

I didn't intend to do but I am doing a writing course that the assignment asked for a mock publication enquiry..So I found a publishers and it was online submission and I pressed send...GULP lol x

Group Interaction How Do we Get Together?

I have created a group for newbies and have had 8 requests to join which is great. But I'm struggling to communicate with them all at once or get something organised where we can meet up online for group introduction and chats etc. Can anyone help with how it works on here?

I live in Cardiff, Wales and was wondering if there were any writers here that maybe wanted to form a group and support and encourage each other's projects and journeys?
