Long story short - In Spring 2017 my 2yr old daughter gets cancer. My partner and I enrich her imagination throughout treatment to keep her spirits up.

Much of the silliness we concocted forms the basis for a picture book that I set to work on and, after 3 years, have now completed.

The book is designed to appeal to all kids, but to have extra meaning to kids in hospital (and their parents) giving them a little bit extra courage and hope.

If I have to self publish, I will. But I first want to try and get an agent, publisher, yadda, yadda.

After an absence of several years (due to a variety of causes, including having my e-mail account hacked - leading to TWO laptops being put out of commission; also a long trough in my bi[polarity ]cycle), I've returned to work... as a writer, an editor, a translator, and a publisher. My "publishing hut" is currently undergoing a complete make-over. It's "breaking and entering" into the digital market.

So here I am, back on W&As, as well. I'm keeping busy (there's lots of work in converting past titles into digital format), but I'll try to look in here now and then.

Hello! I am currently working on my first children's book, "Beastie", which I intend to self publish. While the text is complete, I have only recently found the perfect illustrator who is bringing my story to life with her beautiful watercolour illustrations. While this is incredibly exciting, I am equally terrified! I am looking for any/ all advice that will help me get my book out there, printed, marketed, read and (hopefully) enjoyed by children everywhere.
