Do you have a favourite place to write?

I sit in the comfort of an armchair with my laptop, and a cup of black coffee close at hand. I may read a poem, or a chapter of a novel to get my creative juices flowing. Occasionally, I listen to classical music, but I mostly write and edit in silence.

Do you have a particular routine?

Hi Adrian. I have my little corner of the living room with my laptop, printer and other relative items I may need. It is all very strategically placed in front of my window so I can look out onto my garden.

    Hello Adrian,

As long as I am in the correct frame of mind and I have my journal or notepad with me, then I can easily whip up a paragraph or two from anywhere.

As stated in a recent comment on here, I found fantastic inspiration when I was away in Northumberland a few weeks ago. The landscape and scenery, the atmosphere and my own photographs. It helped me devise several chapters of my fantasy novel that is currently ongoing and siting at 60k+ words.

Unfortunately most of my writing is done in my head. Get it on paper, or more accurately a screen, is hard enough without worrying too much about the location. I’m working on this though. A comfy armchair sounds great, just need to find a quite place to put it.
