Children authors and illustrators

Hi,

Are there any authors out there who illustrates their own children books? I am attempting to write for children and have a number of book ideas. Although I am not wanting to write actual picture books, most of my idea's require sketches (which I can just about do). However, I feel that I am at a loss. Does anyone know how or what format they send potential manuscripts to agents in? Do you include the illustrations or just send it alone.

Any advice would be very welcome.

Regards Tracy

    Hi Tracy,

Have you clicked on the red 'Advice' tab at the top of this page? Lots of articles about writing for children there. Unless you're a professional illustrator most publishers only want the text from writers.
    Good luck!
