Swedish online e-book and book retailer.

Advance

Money paid by a publisher to an author before the book is published. The author usually does not receive any further royalties until the amount of the advance payment has been reached by sales of the book.

Advance information sheet

A sales and marketing document which contains information about the content and format of the book, as well as key selling points, intended audience, promotions and reviews that is circulated to sales reps, potential retailers and customers.

Amazon

An online retailer, selling books, e-books, MP3 downloads, Kindle e-readers, digital tablets and devices such as MP3 players and other household items.

Amazon (Kindle)

Includes a range of e-book readers and Kindle Fire tablet devices that allow readers to browse and download e-books from Amazon through wireless connectivity.

App

Abbreviation for 'Application'. It is an application that performs a specific function such as a book app and runs on mobiles and other portable devices.

Apple iBookstore (iPad)

A sales platform that is accessed through the iBooks app and delivers content directly to iOs Apple devices. Content from several publishers, iBooks author and Smashwords is sold through this store.
