Editorial service: Mid-Way Manuscript Review

A hands-on structural edit, the Mid-Way Manuscript Review editorial service will help provide you with the necessary advice to ensure all elements of your story are working in concert with each other.

If you've made real progress with your manuscript but feel as though you need a hands-on structural edit and advice from an expert, our Mid-Way Manuscript Review is exactly the right editorial service for you. Our editor will advise on which sections of your book are working both for and against your story, and - crucially - recommend ways of streamlining the text. Their objective assessment of your manuscript will offer that all important ‘big picture’ perspective which could be of major benefit to your book.

The goal of the editor is to support the writer in ensuring that the story is coming together as a whole - that its various elements are working in concert. As well as things perhaps not quite working, maybe there are other elements of the plot which could be expanded upon? This could cover character motivations and intentions – including the inner journeys of the characters and whether they ring true.

'What a delightful editor and has a great sense of humor too... I have much work ahead but I am inspired. Her validation of my work is something I have waited to hear for a very long time.' Meagan Sheeler

'Your comments are very valuable and exactly what I needed if I'm to progress as a professional writer. I'm very grateful for your help, understanding and encouragement.' Virginia Bazlington

'It is the first objective professional feedback I have received on my work and has been invaluable in deciding which direction I should take next. I recommend it to anyone wondering about their next step!' Mark Rudd
