For the first time since its resurgence, The London Magazine is hosting a worldwide poetry competition which is open for all ages.

The London Magazine

Opening Date: 1st May 2014

Closing Date: 30th June 2014

This will be a chance to get published in the most prestigious literary journal in the UK, which has been home to the likes of Sylvia Plath, Ted Hughes, Christopher Reid and many more, along with winning a cash prize.

  • First Prize: £200
  • Second Prize: £150 
  • Third Prize: £100

The winning poem will be published in an issue of The London Magazine, both in print and online. The runners up will be featured on the website.

There is no limit on the amount of poems you can submit and the entry fee is £5 per poem.

The winners will be announced at a reception, which will be confirmed closer to the date. The competition will be judged by Hugh Dunkerley and Michael O’Neill.

You must download and fill in your entry form before sending in your submission. You can send in your entry to [email protected] or by post to The London Magazine, 11 Queen’s Gate, London. SW7 5EL.
