Emily Lovelock is a thoughtful and enthusiastic editor with a wealth of experience in academic and non-fiction publishing. She has worked in-house at Bloomsbury Academic, Macmillan (Palgrave Higher Education) and HarperCollins and has a particular specialism in development editing. She has also offered editorial support to a range of freelance clients, including Hodder Learning, London School of Economics and several independent authors. Her own academic background is in literature (in which she holds degrees from the universities of Durham and Oxford) but over the course of her career she has been fortunate enough to edit books across a wide range of subject areas – from history to psychology, business studies to visual arts. Emily is passionate about access to higher education and academia and very much enjoys working on books that commit to diversifying scholarly publishing.
