Dr James Cole is Course Leader/Senior Lecturer for BA (Hons) Creative Writing at Arts University Bournemouth. He has a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Southampton, where he has since taught as a visiting lecturer. He has presented papers at academic conferences across the UK, and his research interests include creative writing pedagogy and practice; children’s and Young Adult literature; LGBTQ+ literature; and writing diverse characters. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
