Royalty statement
A statement document from a publisher showing the royalty amount due to an author.
Sales
Involves using promotional and preview material to sell the title to bookshops and online retailers so that they will stock it.
Sales tracking
Sales of individual titles can be monitored daily through online sales tracking tools such as Amazon Vendor Central or Amazon Author Central. Nielsen also provides print book sales data.
Simile
Where one thing is said to be like another to invite comparison and emphasise a similarity.

Spoonerism
When the first consonant sounds of two or more words are swapped to create a new phrase for humorous effect.
