Subsidiary rights
Sub-licensing the rights to use content from the work in formats other than the original book, for example in films and television adaptation, serialisation, translation and merchandising.
Territory
Areas of the world where the publisher has the right to publish or license other overseas publishers to publish through foreign rights deals.
Trade paperback
A paperback that is of a higher production quality and a larger size than a mass market paperback edition.
Typesetting
The process of putting type into the required size, style and arrangement on the page before printing.
Verso
Left-hand page of the book, which usually has an even number.
