Soft proof
A soft proof is a non-hard copy, sample of a job which is displayed on a calibrated and high-definition screen.
Spiral binding
Wire or plastic is spiralled through holes punched along the binding side.
Trade paperback
A paperback that is of a higher production quality and a larger size than a mass market paperback edition.
Trim size
The final measurements of the page when it has been cut to size.
Typesetting
The process of putting type into the required size, style and arrangement on the page before printing.
