Age Limits

If writing competitions don't mention an age limit (ie. over 18) do you think it can be assumed that they simply don't have one, and that anyone can enter? In the past, I've emailed competitions to double check, but some don't show anywhere you can send your queries.

Thank you very much for your thoughts!

Ok, thanks everyone - I have seen many competitions that say it's only for those aged 18 and over in the terms and conditions, but I'll assume from now on that if it's not specified, I can probably enter.

Sound professional, write professional, act professional and no one will think about the restrictions of your age.

I think you're fine, as I don't believe many competitions have age limits. Unless, of course, it's a youth competition for 16-18 year olds or something.

A few years ago when I was fifteen, I used to send in entries and conveniently leave out my age, just in case.
