Hello fellow authors, I have a question, to which is something I am not sure about. I would like to find an agent who represents new authors, that write Fiction or Urban Fantasy novels. I am in the process of writing my novel, and currently rewriting and editing the first seven chapters. Is it wise for me to look for an agent Now !?

It's very easy to want to go down a fast track, but unfortunately with art we cant really do that. A literary agent will expect the novel not only to be finished, but polished. For example, say if you submitted and an agent came back and said they'd be interested in reading your whole manuscript - you cant exactly say 'oh, it's not done yet'

You want agents to read your best work.

As Miriam said, re-writing re-writing re-writing. And if you get writers block, read books.

It's a long road but keep going! You will get there

I had two romantic comedies published a while ago. I'm now working on a YA fantasy. Or more accurately - re-writing, re-writing, re-writing!
