I've had at least 4 reviews deleted by Amazon, leaving me with just one! Those deleted are all Facebook Friends or became friends after writing a review.
It appears that making new friends through writing isn't always such a good idea. As a result, I have added a request on my Amazon Biography, for readers not to send me friend requests.
Is anyone else having similar issues?
UPDATE: .com site (where all customer service requests from KDP are directed) have replied. But only to say I need to contact UK support because the issues on the .com site have been rectified.
It's a very British book and I don't expect much feedback or sales from the US, but two reviews are there and, now, only one on the UK site. Not sure if they just put them back or not?
I'll update again if UK customer services respond.
The other thing is that people can buy 'reviews' from places like fiverr, and they wouyld be deemed acceptable, because there's no sign of friendship anywhere else.
Those people who put one word reviews up for books they have never read do so because there is a league table among supposed reviewers - the more they are seen to post, the higher their score.
The whole system needs an overhaul.
That's awful Richard. And someone at Amazon obviously has too much time on their hands to go snooping about on FB.
