Anyone in the Manchester area?

Are we allowed to use W&A Q&A for things like this?

I'm visiting Manchester and it might be a chance to meet up with other writers informally. I'll be here until Sunday, the 24th May (at least).

Some friends and I have been trying to organise 2 clown shows for 2 charities (MENCAP and Daytrippers.org.uk) but have run across bureaucracy: no Public Liability Insurance, no venue.

So we're considering going to a park (to be decided) this coming Sunday afternoon (the 17th) to do some hanging about, rehearsing (full dress rehearsal), and , hey!, we can't stop other park-goers from watching our rehearsal, can we? (And if they happen to stub their toe while watching the rehearsal, it's not OUR fault, is it?) Possible 2nd full rehearsal (we just can't seem to get it right) the following Sunday.

More info as available.

Hi Jimmy, I do love your cheek! You do get about a lot don't you, it's a wonder you don't have friction burns from frying the air with the speed you must dash around at!!! I'm near Manchester, bit too close! Failsworth in fact. What park will you be "rehearsing" in and what time. Do tell I will keep it a secret, problem is I have such a dreadful memory I could just forget to keep it a secret and let people know what's happening, that would be terrible if more people turned up wouldn't it so apologies in advance if that happens.

Regards and Buena Suerta

Don't reply in Spanish I looked that up!!!
