Anywhere to share our short stories?

The one written for the competition. I was unfortunately not one that was shortlisted but there's no harm in trying again!

Is there anywhere on here or somewhere else the other writers are sharing their stories? I'd like to share mine :)

Yes, it no longer matters for this competition but what if you want to resubmit the work elsewhere? The Bridport prize, for example, includes in its rules one that says:

"Entries must never have been published, self-published, published on any website, blog or online forum, broadcast nor winning or placed (as in 2nd, 3rd,, runner up etc) in any other competition."

Not if the competition has ended :) Don't share your work until the competition has closed and the results are in because someone could steal it, otherwise it's fine :) It would count as published online but not actually published work e.g. for Kindle, paperback, etc :P

Mary - I think that's a really good point. It does depend on the competition, of course, but plenty do stipulate that entries should never have been published anywhere - print or web. Always worth checking IMO. Partly for that reason, I'm not going to share my entry ;-)

Dan - I'd like to read them too but I do think it's worth bearing in mind that although a writer's literary skill is always, always important, a lot depends on what the particular judges are looking for. For example, the pieces that were short listed in 2012, mine included, seemed, to me, vastly different in style to those that were short listed last year. Same with most competitions, I reckon - and also, to an extent, agents.
