Get the latest issue of the Writers and Artists Yearbook. It is the go-to source for a comprehensive list of literary agents around the world. Steer clear of any agent who wants money before they will read and consider you work! There is also a great little book by Scott Pack, titled, 'How to perfect your submission.' Both of these publications should be available from Amazon.

Is your novel finished or still being written?
When you've finished your novel you need to make sure its polished, and then submit it to agents that are looking for manuscripts in your genre.
Most often they want a cover letter, a synopsis of one page, and then your first three chapters or first 10,000 words. Then you go from there. There are articles on this website about how to submit.
