Book + Rose Day (23rd April) in Barcelona?

The 23rd of April is "El Dia de Sant Jordi" (St. George's Day) in Catalunya and it's traditional to buy your loved one(s) a book or a rose. (Traditionally and sexistly, a book for a man and a rose for a woman, but times have changed, thank Feminism!) Several streets in the centre of Barcelona (including Las Ramblas) will be lined with book stalls (and rose stalls), and I hope that one of them will be mine. (Though it certainly won't be on Las Ramblas.)

I was badly informed (by an editor who agreed to bring out one of my children's books, then decided not to) as to the time for applying for permission to set up a stall, so I missed the deadline (by a month or two!). But my application WAS admitted for processing and I'm hoping that they'll make room for me.

Are any Spain-based users of this web-site planning to be in Barcelona on the day? Maybe we could meet up. (I'll be wearing a fiery orange beard and hair: doing the henna job tomorrow...)

It would be worth the trip just to see the Henna job lol. Hope it goes well for you.
