Can Admin issue a Banning Order?

There is a persistent annoyance on this site in the guise of Ovais Ahmed a.k.a. Ebn Ally Allly, who is not getting the message about begging/seeking publishers/requesting inappropriate help. Personally I think he is just trying to wind up as many of our community as possible, and its about time admin. deleted his accounts. Anyone agree? Robert

Anu is right. There are two views about the facts, so I think we should give him a chance - however, the last one.

I can see both Robert's and Dor's views. On one hand, it's exasperating seeing the same plea again and again, but you don't have to read it. If no one responds then he'll go elsewhere. Having just read other posts by Ebn, I am of the opinion that he's just rather paranoid and feels very protective of his work (which he states was previously stolen from him).

And as Dor pointed out, the last post was not a plea but rather an anxious question regarding how to protect his work. So in this case, no I don't think he should be banned.

I also agree with Louise, it's can be rather alarming to be asked for your email on a public forum, so Ebn, if you're reading this, don't ask people to email you.
