I have finished the first draft of my manuscript and was wondering if anyone has tips on checking the progress and development of characters? Anything in particular, or specifically, I should be doing?
The main thing I've learnt is that your main character needs to have grown and changed from the beginning of the book to the end. Imagine your end character being thrown into the challenge at the beginning of the book. Would they react differently? If they do they've grown.
