Am still trying to find my way around this site and not aux fait with these things.

Hello Anne,

Apart from the technical description of a connection, I would like to add that it is also a valuable channel of communication. As writers we lead a fairly solitary existence, so it is always nice to be 'connected' or 'networked' to people with similar interests and life style :)
