2010 November I wrote a 3000 word short story. PSYCHIC SHADOWS

I uploaded it to issuu.com for 6 days- 8 people red it.

I removed it from the internet as I have a film director

who gave the story to 2 producers in Hollywood.2011

My story-

Laura, Mark and their daughter move into their new home, They find in the Cellar a box of old 8mm home movies, All the previous tenants were murdered in the house and in the films.

Jamie Lee the daughter meets a ghost- her "twin ' reincarnated.

They all meet ghosts the entire night.

2012 SINISTER – THE MOVIE STORY

Hi, Eric!

It sounds like you might have been robbed, yeah. (As I was by RyanAir.) But - as you wrote - 'A Canadian critic wrote about the film- "the director and writer are known for lifting ideas from other films," and mentioned the films'.

If these people are known to have "lifted" ideas in the past (according to wikipedia, the writer says that he was inspired by "The Ring") and haven't ever been prosecuted, that only illustrates my point that ideas aren't protected by copyright law.

The only thing that I can suggest is that you write to the actors who took part in the film, (sending them a copy of your story) asking them to make a public statement of solidarity with you. They probably won't, but it might be worth a shot.

Or you could picket the film every time that it shows in your neighbourhood.

There's a web-site that offers (for a fee, of course) a list of contact addresses of celebrities (and their agents, etc.): contactanycelebrity.com but I warn you that if you register WITHOUT paying, they're going to send you 3 e-mails / day. I see that they've got a book in print ("Recommended for all libraries" - Library Journal, according to the cover blurb) http://www.amazon.com/dp/1604870168/

It might be easier - and less frustrating - to just put it all down to experience.

Thanks folks for all the advice- much appreciated.I wrote my story in November 2010 - I received an email dated same month from an editor, I have screen shots of the info on issuu, com. And a 2nd edit in june 2011,The Production of Sinister started in OCTOBER 2011.I found the preview film on youtube- early 2012 and story headline advertising the film,I wrote on youtube under the video-What is my story I wrote over a year ago doing in your movie? The next day they rewrote the text headlines.I also found the young girl in my story has a ghost twin -and the film has the same- a real girl not ghost -or is she ? She kills and films all the horrors,I am registered with Harper Collins- Autonomy- from 2011-but they did not allow short stories to upload for discussion,The film budget was

$ 5 million. The film is a "FOUND FOOTAGE" headline- which is a small part of my story.A Canadian critic wrote about the film- "the director and writer are known for lifting ideas from other films," and mentioned the films- I wrote him my story - he called it "ALL VERY SINISTER !"
