Correct script format

Hello all, this isn't a question regarding short story writing, but screenwriting.

I'm entering a short script competition this year. Can anyone recommend a site to get the most up-to-date example of script format? I've had one or two scripts made into short films in the past by local filmmaker friends.

My format has been fairly standard, but because this is a competition and the scripts may be read by professionals, I want to be sure I get it right.

My main area of concern is angles. I'm in the habit of putting "NEW ANGLE" or "CHARACTER'S POV" and I want to know whether I can use this sparingly or should it be left out completely, leaving only the necessary description and dialogue.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Kate, I checked that out. I'd never seen that page before. Most of the scripts I've seen so far have been TV related so the format is a bit different, but there's a lot of good info on there.

Try the BBC website: put Writers room in to the search box.
