Hi, I noted down that (I think it was) the Arvon short story competition is on identity, closing date 14th Feb, am I mistaken?
Many thanks

I entered mine ages ago! It was called "Jumping for Joy" and was all about a girl called Joy (funny that) who picked up two men in her car and took them to a remote cliff top in the Lake District before having sex with them and then blowing their heads off with a shotgun.
It was the most "joyful" thing I could think of at the time. When it gets rejected I'll post it up here.
Thanks James,
I don't think I'll produce something on time, though I have a piece on 'identity' waiting in the wings… not sure where I saw that competition ….
The current theme is 'Joy'. Due to finish, as Jeff says on the 15th, at midnight. Copied from the relevant page;
We're offering you the chance to win £500, plus a place on an Arvon writing course of your choice! All you have to do is enter a short story (for adults) of no more than 2,000 words, on the theme of 'Joy' and email it to [email protected] with "WAYB15 competition" as the subject line.
The closing date is midnight on Sunday 15th February 2015. The winners of the competition will be announced on this site in March 2015
