Editing Software

I never even knew such a thing existed until yesterday.

Does anyone use it?

I downloaded a free trial of StyleWriter. It's quite interesting in what it points out. Thankfully, my first MS has almost been edited to death so the only things I found were rogue 'seem to's' or hidden 'actually's'.

Quite helpful though, I found!

The bad thing was it was quite clunky - I don't know whether this was because it was a trial version. Sometimes it crashed. I found adding one chapter at a time was better.

Does anyone use anything else?

It seems to me that the best option is the editor. Humans are always better than software.

There is writing software as well as editing software. I've not used either.
