Thank you for your reply, I always appreciate the fact that someone will take the time to help. Thanks. I think it is the mention of the email that made me think it had to be a covering letter but I think you are right it doesn't mention a "covering letter" just the e-mail. I have probably been reading too many questions and answers and the age thing takes over easy these days, (my age that is) hey ho. I'll keep taking the pills and write, well scribble really, there is something about wanting to tell a story and hoping someone will want to listen. Regards Paul.
Covering letters are usually for submitting to publishers & agents rather than for competitions I think. Certainly not needed for this one. All details are on the competition link (left of screen).
