Entries into short story compet.

Have I missed it or will we know how many people actually entered the contest?

Of course, the prestige of being in the top twenty is greater if there were a 1000+ entries rather than just 30! Just wondering...

Dear all,

We had a grand total of 1,559 entries! The winner and the two runners-up will have their stories performed at the event - the shortlist of twenty will be announced on the site on the following day (Wednesday 26th March).

Good luck!

Kind regards,

The W&A Team

I think they confirmed after this that there would be two runners up and one winner, so three stories performed at the event.

How exciting! Wish I could go. I guess if I get a message saying I am in the top three and could win, I might be spurred on to make the effort! :)

I can't seem to find the exact forum post but I'm certain it was posted that they had to wade through roughly 1,500 short stories. So I'd imagine that's a rough estimate that they received. However, how many of them that were eligible is a different story.
