Feedback

Hi everyone, I'm new to W&A and was just wondering what is the best way to share my work? If I share a sample chapter can anyone see it or only the people I have 'connected' with? And also how do you find people to connect with? I have requested to connect with a couple of people who I have seen on the Q&A page but wonder is this the best way to find people with similar interests?

Many thanks

Thanks Vicky, I'll take a look at your work. I think being a reader makes you qualified to give an opinion on other people's work as it is the reader we write for isn't it, but I know what you mean. I have only had my work read by friends up to now and they have all given positive feedback but I know they are very biased and probably, like us, wouldn't feel qualified to point out any flaws. I really welcome any constructive feedback as that's the only way I can make the book better - or change it completely if needs be! In hindsight I think I've put too much on my first shared post, I used the full 3000 words but looking at it now it might be a bit long for people to read.

Hi Clare, I'm new to this too. I haven't read your work yet but I know it can be a bit daunting, putting stuff out there.

So far I have kept my feedback on the positive side because I don't feel qualified point out what I may deem faults. I may point out a spelling mistake/typo or grammatical error though. Feel free to read any of my work and comment if you'd like to. No pressure.

I do find it more useful to hear both good and bad feedback as it gets addressing things I may not have considered rather than just being praised for the sake of it. I don't take comments personally.
