Getting through the 1st draft

by David Castanho

Hi everyone

I'm currently on my first draft of a novel I'm super excited about telling the world about. The planning stage of it went well except the 1st draft is feeling like such a long draft from start to finish. Please could anyone list a few points on how they survive the struggle.of the first draft. Thank you.

Well, I these are few points that help me keep going-

-Finding Inspiration Multiple times.

-Building things in the world and thinking of it's past and future(History-making and Future)(Creating, lore, myths, legends.) (I love doing all of these!)

-Thinking of your Ending.(Mine gets me thoroughly inspired, as It's the best thing my mind has thought of yet.)

-Listening to Music and finding that one right song/tune that just get's you all psyched and helps you write. Then, keep playing it again and again, so you keep on writing.

-Think of what might happen in best-case scenario if you succeed with your book etc, thinking of the future always helps. :)
