Hi all...

I am in the process of writing my first childrens story book. I have plot, story line, theme, characters, chapters, market research done, target age range executed, I have even written chapters one and two. I am now wondering what I do next, whilst wanting to complete the book, how do I get publishers to take on my book, How do I get an agent? Any advise would be very helpful

Replies

Not intending to sound silly but I am writing my book on a4 lined paper once completed I plan to type up and print off. How would I present it to a agent or publisher? In sheets or would i need to find someone to make it into a book. And if so who or how ??

Sounds like you're on the right path. As Lorraine said, the standard now is to approach agents and publishers only once you have a completed and edited book. So, marketing etc can wait until it's written and you're happy with the story. Good luck!

That's fantastic help. I wasn't trying to say what I have done is enough. I know I'm miles away. But just wanted advise on how and where I go next. As in my head the story is complete its just about writing it down and I know editing is going to be my best friend for time to come lol
