How do you find a publisher? Step by step. Where do I go, or what do I type in on the internet to find an agent?

Most publishers do not accept unsolicited manuscripts. I would try and hook an agent. If you are successful, they will find the right publisher that deals with your genre.
There is a lit of agents in the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook.
The Literary Guide to Agents 2013 by Sam Buchino is an excellent book.
Do you have the Writers and Artists year book? They have a full list on all the agents and publishers. Or if you don't have one of those, maybe go onto Twitter, you will find most agents and publishers are on there! They will have there web sites on there twitter page also! Or while you are on this page you could go onto "Advice" at the top and you will get all the information you need right there...
