How far do you think you can go?

Hi fellow writers,

Just a quick question, bit of research I'm conducting and would really value all your opinions. I'm writing a contempory piece that covers both romance and fantasy for the young adult market. How far do you think you can go when it comes to the, let's say, 'relations' between the characters. I'm attemping to protray actual emotions in an unnatural (if you like) enviroment. What do you think?

I think you are asking how steamy one might get? Well I would say there are other target audiences that may be more suitable, not sure that YA needs too much detail. Romance and Fantasy are fine, but romance doesn't need details to be romantic, in fact romance goes out of the window once the, shall we say, 'barriers' are down. Still young adult is young adult. What goes on behind closed doors, as they say, I would just let the door stay closed and imagination do the rest.
