How long to wait until you know for sure that your agent hasn't accepted you.

I submitted some writers queries about a month ago. I was wondering if I should just keep waiting for them to say yes, or if it's obvious its a no.

Thank you! I will continue waiting then! Crossing my fingers! XD

It seems to be about 6-8 weeks and they don't appear to always let you know that they don't want you. I'm in the same position Heidi and was only sending to one agent at a time but it appears that it's acceptable to send to more than one agent at a time although it's polite to let them know that.

I think they routinely tell you to wait 6 weeks, although you should check the guidelines of the agent in question. You shouldn't try to contact them to check until the 12 week point unless their guidelines suggest otherwise.
