How many British literature awards are you familiar with?

I was listening to BBC Radio 4. The guest essayist was stressing the amount of awards there are. With 25,000 novels published in the UK last year, being nominated or winning an award is excellent self-promoton. It would give a budding-author an edge in the competition for recogniton.

I should be so lucky, but we can dream.

Can you ad to this list I found. I can add the Carnegie Medal.

I believe there are European awards which British authors are eligible. I am uncertain about American or Canadian awards.

Romantic Novel of the Year?

And it's not one we'd all be aiming for but the Bad Sex in Fiction Award. Lol
