How should I approach a bookshop to sell my book?

Have any authors on here deposited books at independent bookshops for sale?

Should I just turn up? ring them up and ask? or send an email?

As in most things on this forum, having been left to work out the answer on my own I found it.

Look up;

I followed the approach described in this article.

I sent out 5 emails to local bookshops and have had them all reply in one form or another.
