How to stay motivated while editing?

I really want to finish editing my book this year, but most of the time I have no motivation to do so. I've only just finished a chapter today after slowly working on it all month.

Any suggestions on how to stay motivated?

Do you have writing friends you can share your writing with? A group of writing friends can be a great resource. First, they can make useful suggestions and pick up things you might have missd. Second, you can encourage each other to keep going

Hi Antoinette,

It sounds like you're forcing yourself to write your book - I've done this in the past too. I would suggest staying away from it for at least a month and then read it through. If you don't like it then you are probably not writing the book you really want to write. In other words, your heart isn't in it. Perhaps put it to one side and start something else.
