I read The Daily Telegraph and The New Statesman to maintain a political balance. Buying them depends on whether there are enough interesting stories in the news. Usually there are not.
It may be a good Guardian article, but the subject does not appeal to me. I would dread to read a manuscript written in 30 days. But as the article was published it must be of interest to others. Unless it was written to fill column inches.
I am not saying a book cannot be written in 30 days, and I do not want to appear negative having not read the article.
But I am guided by the wise words of Hemmingway - 'The first draft of everything is always shit.'
