Index Of Book Sales

Can anyone tell the name of the index which details the numbers of copies of a book sold: for example if I had published a book last year, how would I know for certain how many copies my publisher had sold?

I ought to know the name of this, but I have forgotten.

That's the one - many thanks.

I think you have to pay to use it, but it's probably worth it in the long run.

Hi Jim,

We think you might mean Nielsen BookScan, which is the index used within the industry.
