I'm looking for a literary agent. The book I've just finished is a dystopia (I've heard the genre is dead; also heard it's very much alive! Seems to be a bit of it about, in any case). I've published fantasy fiction before, both YA and adult. Any advice on who might be good?
You could try looking up your favourite authors in that genre and seeing if they thank an agent in their acknowledgement. Otherwise, it'll be a case of scouring the agencies' websites to read what they're looking for. (They're not always very specific - I guess every agent wants a range of what could help pay their bills.)
