A middle point between Religion and Atheism

I am writing a book on the falseness of the personified god, and how both atheism and religion can be correct. I am currently in the process of writing notes, my writing skills aren't perfect, is there anyone that's interested in this field that would want to be a co-author?

Hi Amir,

I was brought up to be religious but it never rang true to me. As they say about Father Xmas here, kids believe because their parents tell them too; but once they see a chink in the armour - an older child's comments or perhaps they just work it out - there's no going back.

Accordingly, I argued with teachers in school and adults who would listen, and even when I was forced to go to church. It occured to me that the majority of people in any religion are only so because of their family and/or community insisting everything is true.

If you believe in one religion, then you are, by definition, an atheist for all other religions. And if you think hard about it, everyone within the sphere of influence believed in the Greek/Roman/Norse/every other religion of their time. The major religions of today installed themselves over the world on the back of conquest. Otherwise, Paganism would still be the majority religion of Europe and the Middle East.

So as you will have guessed, I am not a believer. But I don't push my views upon other people. I don't respect religions, or what they have done over the past millennia. But I do respect individuals and their right to believe whatever they want. For example, science has proven climate change to be a fact, but only about 35% of Americans believe in it. Whereas, around 65% of Americans believe the Moon landings were faked, and alien abductions are real.

Crazy.

But I too shall request connection, as I'm also intrigued by what you suggest.

Regards,

PabloJ.

Hi Amir

I was heavily religious but after a disability, loss of friends to illness, etc, I am not so sure.

I am trying to find a middle ground between unbeliever and believer.

Get in touch if you wish.
