Hi all. Does anyone else out there have more than one storyline going at the same time? I have about four at the moment, all different genres, and I'm managing to write a limited amount on all of them. I've tried to put three away and concentrate on one at a time but scenarios for the other stories jump into my head. Just wondering if anyone can give me any advice on how to keep my concentration on following one story at a time, I'm finding it a bit difficult. Thanks
Thanks admin will take a look.
We've just posted a great piece on the site about how to structure a novel with multiple timelines: https://www.writersandartists.co.uk/writers/advice/1236/a-writers-toolkit/story-and-plot/
Thought it might be of interest here.

Thank you Andrew and Amy for your good advice. Yes they are different projects and you're spot on Amy it's taking me forever to try and finish anything at all. The characters in all the storylines do seem to be screaming me, me, me. Maybe I will have to be ruthless and tell the voices to wait their turn. I'm not working to a deadline and I would love to go with the flow, but I think I'm the kind of person who needs discipline. I will try it both ways and see if I can find which works best for me. Thank you again.
