MY SUBMISSION

Hello...my name is Sharon. I am wondering if anyone has had any dealings with Austin Macauley because I went through the process of sending cover letter, synopsis and samples of my work, they liked it, sent me a letter asking for full manuscript, they liked that and then I received a contract through the post, but were asking for an amount of money. Can anyone enlighten me as to whether or not this company is legitimate please.

I think they are legit but probably do two types of publishing, which seems quite common now. They will do the full deal for authors they are confident of selling, but offer a 'vanity' package to others whereby the author part finances the publishing. I had exactly the same scenario with Pegasus, although I was fully informed of the set-up before I asked for the contract to peruse. I couldn't afford it & also thought either it's good enough or it's not, so didn't go ahead & have since redrafted my work.

Sounds like a vanity 'publisher'. They should not be asking for money. Cut 'em loose.

And research who you are submitting to, before you submit! :)
