You can write at any age and what you write doesn't matter until you want to think about publishing it. I started writing when I was just seven years old. I wrote weekly letters to my grandparents and then moved on to writing short stories for my brothers at bedtime as I got older. Now I write articles most of which are published, I update guide books, not a well paid job but something to put on the CV and I'm hoping to publish a series of short stories which is what I really enjoy doing. If you want to get published, there are magazines that publish stories written by young people. Check out Writers and Artists Yrbk I first got published by using this book. What do you write and why?
