As Neeraj says, writing consistently is the most important thing. I remember my writing being terrible in the beginning, but you have to go through the bad to get to the good. Be confident in yourself, keep writing, and ask questions. Thats the most important thing, ask questions and be willing to learn!
Well, Age doesn't matter. Again, expertise comes with experience. You may be a good writer and you may not be. I would say don't worry about the quality now, just concentrate on writing !! :D
