I am using just the ordinary "office word" for my M/S is this ok for submission to an agent or is there a specific piece of software for typing M/S that has all the required spacings and layout they require? Thanks in advance.

Regards Paul.

Thank you helen, I use the normal ctrl+s when I'm writing but always the save as when I'm backing up onto external disc and flash drive, but now you have said that I will start to use the drop down and the save as. Thanks. Regards Paul

You should also have a 'Save As' option that will allow you to choose to save your document as a PDF. There will be a drop down menu in the Save box that will have it as an option. Some publishers do prefer Word, while others are happy with a PDF. Good luck with the submissions!
