Page numbering

This might be a bit of a stupid question, but when page numbering for a submission, do you count the prologue count as page one, or is page one the first page in charter one?

Replies

When I submitted mine, I counted the Prologue as page 1 as that is where the story (and therefore the submission) starts.

I agree with Dor - number the whole document. Then there should be absolutely no danger of any page going missing, and if one does the recipient can spot the problem easily.

In fifty shades of freed on the prologuepage it is numbered so it would be a good idea to number it.
